Moving forward ...

... to the future, or just to the present ;)

The simple switchlist in "naked operations" made a jump in to my iPhone thanks to the App "Mariner Calc for iPhone"

I took my excel-spreadsheet containing all my running equipment and removed all unnecesary facts

Then I marked the cars with 1, 2, 3, ... for incoming  (and 101, 102,... for outbound) and just sorted ascendeing, put in some space and put in a short description for load and destination.
Next step was transferring it to the iPhone with the built in feature.

And look :) , ready to switch.

Mine Run...

..., first train to Fall River Mine #1.

Ready at the staging with a GP7 and eight hoppers.

Pushed the train uphill and started switching.

Hoppers in position.

A closer wiew of the mockup...

First two hoppers loaded

Making a train with loaded

Putting empties back.

Changing direction in Crawford Valley

Down under...

..., not Australia but beneath the plywood.

A bit cramped (or who designed the layout... ;) )

Much cables in a small volume

Running Trains...

First there was a lot of work done this weekend. First the track was layed on the Mine Yard, a bit more "casual" compared to the plan :)

The Junction got its switch motors mounted and wired. Directions are: lower left - Staging, lower right - Crawford Valley and upper left - the still unplanned small city above my workbench

And, at last there was a train running. Here on its way from Crawford Valley via the Junction to my americaN-staging yard

Sawdust...

... is frequent in the workroom.

Construction has started and reached the door. The shelf are a L-girder and then the layout are built in sections to make it possbly to make the big (or small) works on the workbench.

The switch which connect Fall River Branch to Crawford Valley.

A prewiew of where Fall River Mine will load out its coal.
